Kenzie VanDerwerker, M.S. CCC-SLP is a Speech-Language Pathologist at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) in Virginia, where she has been supporting children and families for the past 5 years. A proud Radford University alumna, Kenzie brings both expertise and enthusiasm to her work in pediatric speech-language pathology.
Her clinical passions include selective mutism, American Sign Language, and articulation, with a strong focus on using creative and wacky approaches to motivate and engage her clients in meaningful ways.
In addition to her clinical work, Kenzie has proudly served on the Speech-Language-Hearing Association of Virginia (SHAV) Board for the past 8 years. During that time, she has held key leadership positions including SHAV Secretary and SHAV Vice President for Speech-Language Pathologists, helping to lead advocacy efforts and support SLPs across the state.
Known for her imaginative therapy ideas and child-centered approach, Kenzie is dedicated to making communication fun, accessible, and empowering for every child she serves.
